2017 Moments to Remember
December
24, 2017 -- It's already a family tradition: Christmas Eve at Felicia's. This year was no exception. The unmatched hospitality of Felicia and Nedžad was
on display from the first to the last second. Denis was the center of attention -- and I hope the
pictures and videos I recorded captured
a little bit, just a little bit of the thrill
December
3, 2017 -- Last week I was in Paraguay to attend a project meeting with ANDE in Asunción. I had been in Paraguay many times before but never went sightseeing. This time,
however, I rewarded myself with a tour to Areguá, Lake Ypacaraí and Caacupé. The trip was short but interesting, as you can see from the picture on the left and the
videos I recorded
October 31, 2017 -- On his first truly meaningful Halloween,
Denis was a firefighter. First, he "practiced a few drills" at home, then Felicia took him to the Halloween party at his school. Let's watch the video clips and the

October 27, 2017 -- Felicia, Denis and Nedžad wrapped up the Berlin leg of their vacation
in Europe with a stop at the Brandenburg Gate. Here are some pictures they've taken in Belgium, Germany and Luxemburg – and six amazing videos that briefly
illustrate their trip
September 30, 2017 -- Just came back from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia where
I had a week of meetings with the National Dispatch Center and the World Bank. There was no time for sightseeing, except for a short tour to the Genghis Khan Square and the Gandan Buddhist Monastery.

September 14, 2017 -- Denis started school! It was a day to remember, as you can
see from the short videos and photos that Felicia recorded. We wish you good luck and lots of
accomplishments on the path that you just got started!
August 21, 2017 -- I couldn't let the solar eclipse pass by and I recorded a
short video of it -- not as spectacular as I had hoped, because I didn't plan appropriately and, when the moment came, I didn't have a solar filter for my camera, but, anyhow, I managed to record the event. Enjoy!
June 29, 2017 -- Felicia came with Denis to enjoy a swim and suntan at
our pool (video), followed by barbecue on the terrace of my apartment and fun on the basketball court. Come more often, come anytime!
June 5, 2017 -- Crivat graduated from the New York College of
Technology of the City University of New York. The Commencement Ceremony took place at the Barclay Center, in Brooklyn. It was a crowded and noisy event, but, even though, I managed get a few glimpses of it on record.

May 18, 2017 -- 'An NBA
Allstar is born!' -- how's that for a movie title? After you'll watch the
video and the
pictures you may want to add cycling to the title. Meanwhile, let's just wait and allow Denis to
have fun and enjoy the summer that's around the corner

15, 2017 -- On Easter Day I went to see Felicia and Denis. The present from the Little Bunny (Iepurașul)
was a Spalding NBA Mini Replica basketball. Denis was fascinated! Felicia prepared a great lunch, with lamb and red eggs and everything else, and then
we went to the courtyard to
practice with the new basketball. Happy Easter!

10, 2017 -- 'How old are you, Denis?' 'TWO!' 'You are a big boy! Happy birthday!' On Saturday, March 11, Felicia and Nedžad celebrated Denis' 2nd birthday with
an intimate, yet very entertaining party. Here are the pictures and

7, 2017 -- Denis, Felicia, Nedžad and I had an intimate and wonderful celebration of Felicia's birthday. Happy birthday and many happy

25, 2017 -- After a late February snowstorm, we enjoyed a couple of days of spring-like weather. Denis, Felicia and Nedžad took full advantage
of the mess and had plenty of fun in the snow, as you can see from the most recent short

1st, 2017 -- On the New Year's Day I received the visit of my beloved Felicia, Denis and Nedžad. We exchanged some presents, had a simple and very
light lunch, and recorded a few images that allowed me to make a short
video and to post some
pictures. Happy New Year!
2016 Moments to Remember
December
25, 2016 -- The Christmas Day lunch was hosted, as usual, by Felicia. Next to Felicia, the main actor was
Denis, of course -- the "figuration" comprising Nedžad and his parents,
Vaska and Čerim, and myself. As a cameraman I blew up most of the most important video clip, but, even though, I saved enough footage for two short videos and a few
pictures. Merry Christmas!
December
6, 2016 -- First day at home after two months in the St. Francis Catholic hospital, where I underwent another
left knee surgery, and in the Sun Harbor Manor rehab. Home sweet home!
September
28, 2016 -- I was in Jakarta, Indonesia to meet with GE-Alstom and sign some paperwork related to the EVNHCMC
SCADA/DMS project concluded just one month earlier. In the spare time I hired a private tour and visited the National Monument Park and the National
Museum and, sure enough, I recorded a couple of pictures and
video clips. The trip was short and I would have qualified it as "unremarkable" if it wasn't for the infection that caught my left knee and,
upon return to New York, through me in hospital and rehab for two months
September
6, 2016 -- The Labor Day weekend is over. My summer was uneventful -- just two business trips overseas and
a few hours at the pool. However, for Denis, Felicia and Nedžad the summer meant a dream vacation in Bosnia and Montenegro.

18, 2016, Bucharest -- A memorial service was held today at the Savulescu Family resting place in the Reînvierea
Cemetery from Bucharest. Requiescant in Pace! The service was followed by lunch (parastas)
at the restaurant Nicoresti

8, 2016 -- We celebrated Felicia's SECOND Mothers Day at Moscato, an Italian restaurant in Scarsdale, NY
-- and, for Denis' delight, we wrapped it up at Baskin-Robbins, as you can see from the
video and the pictures we recorded. Happy Mothers Day, Felicia!
April
27, 2016 -- I spent a happy afternoon in the park with Denis, Felicia and Nedžad. Denis loves watching the Metroliner trains that run behind the
park, but the biggest fun was "la leagan" and with the slides. Here are the video and the

11, 2016 -- Denis got his first haircut -- admired by Daddy and Bunicul but not-so-appreciated by Mommy. The men are in majority, though,
and so they're leading the score (for the time being...). Here are some pictures

12, 2016 -- Denis' First Birthday was on March 10, but the party took place on Saturday, March 12, 2016. The
cheerful celebration is extensively illustrated in pictures and a short video.

7, 2016 -- We celebrated Felicia's birthday with three birthday cakes: one for Mom, from Denis; one
from Nedžad, Vaska and Čerim; and the third from me. Click to see

27, 2016 -- Knock, knock. Who's there? 'It's me, Denis. I came with Mommy to
visit Bunicul in his Bayside apartment and to
practice a few walking steps in the hallway!'
February 15, 2016 -- Today, Denis started to walk! Here's the video of his first steps, recorded by Nedžad under Felicia's careful watch. A day to remember!
January
24, 2016 -- Since yesterday early morning till late last night we were hit by a severe snowstorm. New York stopped functioning and all car traffic was banned. The City did a good job in cleaning the main roads, but the lateral streets and parked cars were left buried in snow, as
you can see from the picture.
January
1st, 2016 -- Happy New Year 2016 from Copacabana! Once again I commemorated the reveillon in Rio
and, of course, I recorded the midnight show of fireworks that is unique on earth. The videos will be posted soon. Stay tuned!
